A new sexual content platform called PlayHouse will go head-to-head with popular sex-worker site OnlyFans, as content creators make the switch following panic over stability.
Up and coming sex-worker site PlayHouse is set to give OnlyFans a run for its money as the Australian start-up business is led by sex-workers.
This new sexual content site has far less restrictions than other content platforms, with sex-worker’s interests at the heart of the business.
PlayHouse’s competitor, OnlyFans, faced backlash last year after the platform announced that it was calling time on “sexually explicit conduct” in order to attract more investors.
At the time, OnlyFans said: “In order to ensure the long-term sustainability of the platform, and to continue to host an inclusive community of creators and fans, we must evolve our content guidelines.”
OnlyFans content creators then boycotted the site, with the London-based business then retracting their statement.
However, content creators were still on edge after the realisation that they could lose their platform, with some sex-workers opening their own websites to stay in the sexual content game.
But what is PlayHouse and who created the website?
What is PlayHouse?
PlayHouse is an up-and-coming sexual content platform where creators can post whatever they desire, with the first 1,000 creators on the site to receive 100% of their earnings for a limited time – unlike competitor OnlyFans.
Currently, OnlyFans creators can make an account for free but when they begin to rake in the cash, the website takes 20% of their earnings.
Although the PlayHouse website is discreet, a poster on the homepage reads “Content without borders”, meaning there is no limitations on what creators can upload in an aim to fight back against OnlyFans’ proposed rules last year.
PlayHouse was created in 2021 and refers to itself as the “pulse of adult entertainment”.
Who Created PlayHouse?
The new content platform was created by indigenous Australian William O’Halloran, who has been in the adult entertainment industry since he was 16.
The content creator said that he created content platform in the hopes of “creating a safe and supportive space for sex workers to have the freedom to create the content they want”.
According to the platform’s Instagram page, it already has multiple content creators on the site including Princess Demora, MillyTouch and Raven Inferno.
